During his speech at the IX PP Congress in Mijas, Málaga, Bendodo remarked that Montero "lacks a campaign in Andalusia to explain all the corruption cases that surround her, that are hot on her heels, just as the ERE case was hot on her heels here in Andalusia".
The popular leader insisted that the upcoming elections on May 17 in Andalusia are a "final flying finish" to achieve "the Spain that works" with Alberto Núñez Feijóo, adding that afterwards "it will be up to Spaniards to remove Pedro Sánchez".
“"The Secretary General of the PSOE-A and candidate for the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía is a candidate disconnected from Andalusian reality, from the streets, and even a candidate disconnected from her own party."
Bendodo contrasted the "past" of socialism, represented by figures like Chaves, Griñán, and María Jesús Montero herself, with the "future" that, according to him, Juanma Moreno embodies in an Andalusia that "creates more companies than any other autonomous community, lowers taxes, leads exports...".
He also criticized Montero for her management of the SEPI, which he described as "a true fund of reptiles," and questioned the increase in IRPF collection, asking "Where is the money?" and accusing her of turning Spain into Europe's "fiscal hell".
Finally, Bendodo demanded the "immediate" resignation of Minister Óscar Puente, arguing that reports on a recent incident demonstrate "a great negligence by the Ministry of Transport".
