The interior of the province of Málaga will experience a significant rise in temperatures this Friday, July 31. The Antequera region is under a significant danger warning, with maximums predicted to reach 40 degrees Celsius. In the Serranía de Ronda, thermometers could reach 38 degrees Celsius.
The heat warnings will be active between 1:00 PM and 8:59 PM, coinciding with the hours of greatest solar radiation. The probability of reaching these temperatures is estimated between 40% and 70%.
The extreme heat situation will continue until Saturday, August 1, when Antequera will again be under a warning for maximum temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius, which could be reached sporadically. In Ronda, temperatures will remain around 38 degrees Celsius during the same time frame.
In contrast, Málaga capital will register more moderate temperatures, with maximums forecast between 22 and 31 degrees Celsius this Friday. The sky will be clear in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon, although some fog is not ruled out at the end of the day. The wind will be light from the south and southeast.
The influx of maritime air in the capital will help contain temperatures but will increase humidity, creating a noticeable feeling of mugginess. The thermal difference between the coast and the interior will be significant.
Given these conditions, it is recommended to drink water frequently, avoid prolonged sun exposure during the central hours of the day, use sun protection, and pay special attention to vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and individuals with chronic illnesses.
