The Virgen de la Victoria university complex in Málaga has welcomed a new group of 80 specialists from various autonomous communities. These professionals will join the hospital's clinical activities over the coming years.
Notably, the historic incorporation of the first cohort in Emergency Medicine and Emergencies and Hospital Radiophysics marks a significant expansion of the center's training offerings.
The welcome event, organized by the Teaching Commission, included addresses from management figures such as the General Manager, Jesús Fernández Galán, Medical Director, Luciana Jiménez Aranda, and Head of Studies, Fernando Cabrera, who emphasized the importance of training in a highly complex hospital environment.
The 2026 intake sets a new teaching precedent for the hospital, solidifying its position as a national training benchmark with these new accreditations.
The healthcare center highlighted that this commencement marks a pivotal moment for the residents, who will specialize within an environment featuring top-tier multidisciplinary teams, reinforcing the hospital's dedication to quality, research, and the humanization of healthcare.
