These actions, aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure, positively impact the lives of 57,881 students. Currently, 24 of the projects are completed, 37 are under construction, and the rest are in various stages of processing, with the goal of finishing all by the end of 2026.
Among the most significant expansions are those underway at IES Fernando de los Ríos in Málaga capital, IES Los Boliches in Fuengirola, and IES Reyes Católicos in Vélez-Málaga.
A considerable portion of the reforms and modernizations carried out this year addresses the repair of damage caused by the early-year storm in several provincial centers.
Concurrently, efforts have continued to improve building accessibility, removing architectural barriers and adapting spaces for more inclusive facility use.
In total, 109 reform works in Málaga's educational centers are expected to be completed or nearing completion during 2026.
These interventions are part of the educational infrastructure plans promoted by the Ministry of Education and are executed through the Andalusian Public Agency for Education (APAE).
