The Benalmádena City Council has announced that, due to urbanization works on Avenida Retamar, this road will be closed to traffic starting August 31st.
A temporary detour will be established via Calle Hermano Francisco, continuing along Calle Gardenia and Calle Matogrosso, in both directions. Consequently, the bus stop known as Las Mimosas will be cancelled in both directions.
These traffic restrictions will affect the routes of several interurban bus lines from the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Malaga Area that normally run along Avenida Retamar. The affected lines include: M-103 Urbano de Benalmádena (Line 1 Higuerón-Torremuelle), M-112 Málaga-Mijas, M-121 Torremolinos-Benalmádena-Mijas, and M-126 Benalmádena-Torremolinos.
While the works are underway and until the road reopens, a provisional stop for Las Mimosas will be set up. This stop will be located at the intersection of Avenida Retamar and Calle Matogrosso, serving both directions of travel.
