The fortune was distributed by a local ONCE vendor at the weekly market in Vélez-Rubio. This prize, totaling 240,000 euros, adds to the recent streak of luck experienced in the province of Almería.

The draw on Saturday, April 18, was dedicated to the mathematician Pilar Bayer, as part of ONCE's monographic series on 'Women in Science'. In addition to the prize in Vélez-Rubio, another 20,000 euro prize was awarded in Huelva. Two weeks prior, on April 4, a similar 'Sueldazo' was delivered in Vera, also in the province of Almería.
The ONCE Weekend 'Sueldazo' offers a main prize of 300,000 euros plus 5,000 euros per month for 20 years for a single ticket, and prizes of 2,000 euros per month for ten years for four other tickets. Upcoming draws include the Eurojackpot with a jackpot of 28 million euros on April 21, and the ONCE Mother's Day Extra offering 17 million euros on May 3.
