The town of Pozoblanco has revealed the details of the new children's area to be added to its municipal pool. The project, presented by mayor Santiago Cabello, aims to create a more attractive and accessible space for families.
The development includes the creation of two new aquatic pools. One will be a splash zone of 276 square meters, intended for the youngest children, featuring a central water attraction and six water games around its edges. The second pool, with a depth of 1.40 meters and an area of 231 square meters, will house three water slides.
These new areas will complement the two existing pools at the municipal facility, one for free swimming and another for sports, which currently serve an average of 600 users daily. The complex will also include the two pools at the campsite, which are already open to the public.
In addition to the water attractions, the renovation encompasses the expansion of the bar and picnic area terrace, which will increase to 455 square meters. New turf will also be planted in the shaded area, covering 2,700 square meters.
The total budget for the project amounts to 1,083,000 euros, broken down into 703,000 euros for civil works and 379,000 euros for water games, equipment, and furniture. The project will soon go out to tender.
