The anticipated cultural event, marking the start of summer, will take place across several city locations including Plaza Dolores Ibáurruri, Plaza de la Rosa, and Paseo de Cervantes. The entire lineup will feature artists and groups from Montilla, underscoring the municipal commitment to promoting local talent.
The Councilor for Festivals, Miguel Sánchez, emphasized that 100% of the performances will showcase Montillan groups and creators. Spreading the program over two days aims to allow attendees to enjoy more concerts and shows without conflicts, while also encouraging participation in the Shopping Night organized with Ademo.
A key new addition this year is a street circus performance at the Plaza de la Rosa on Friday. This act, by local artist Cira María Hames, will blend aerial acrobatics, fire, and dance, enhancing the event's cultural offerings.
Music will be the main focus of the weekend. On Friday, Plaza Dolores Ibárruri will host performances by the choirs Prudencio Molina and Tradición, alongside groups Paragua de Lana, François Mitterrand, and Distinto Básico.
On Saturday, Plaza de la Rosa will feature concerts by Mister McKenzie, Segundo Premio, Phil Subban, Renacimiento, and Exi. The Paseo de Cervantes will continue to host its traditional flamenco stage.
Nazario Zafra, representing the Tradición Choir, expressed gratitude for the initiative's continuation, stating it "benefits all of Montilla and helps project the city's name." David Hidalgo, speaking for the participating groups, highlighted the prominence of original music this year, noting that "most of the bands will perform their own compositions."
Through this program, the Montilla City Council launches an intensive schedule of activities, including the Feria's prelude and the Feria de El Santo, solidifying the White Night as a major summer cultural and musical gathering.
