The fire originated at 10:00 AM in an area near Cerro de los Lobos, affecting the Levante region of Almería. Extinction teams worked intensely to control the flames.
Resources deployed to extinguish the fire included four forest firefighter groups, two operations technicians, a fire engine, two semi-heavy helicopters, and two ground-loading aircraft. Bomberos del Levante and the Guardia Civil also collaborated in the extinction efforts.
