The intervention focuses on the AL-8105 road and aims to permanently resolve rainwater runoff and accumulation issues that affected road safety and adjacent properties, particularly after intense rainfall events.
The works will be carried out in two technical phases. Firstly, an underground conduit with inspection chambers will be installed to channel runoff towards the existing storm drain. Secondly, a 17-meter pipe will create a transversal crossing under the road, with the adjacent path being conditioned to safely guide water to the Rambla Las Canalejas.
Although the AL-8105 is a road managed by the Provincial Council of Almería, the council of Cuevas del Almanzora has fully funded the project using its own municipal resources.
This initiative underscores the municipal commitment to the safety of drivers and residents in Muleria, enhancing the town's preparedness for meteorological challenges.
