The ceremony, held at the Hospital de Santiago, brought together various civil and military authorities, as well as representatives from security forces and local residents, who gathered to celebrate the dedication of this specialized unit. The mayor of Úbeda emphasized that this distinction is an “act of institutional responsibility,” highlighting the ROCA Team's commitment and dedication to service.

The mayor underscored the unit's positive impact on the peace of mind of farmers and families, stressing the close relationship between the Guardia Civil and the city. She also highlighted the institution's vital role in citizen protection, especially in a region where olive groves are a primary symbol of identity.
It was recalled that for years, the countryside suffered from crime incidents that generated insecurity, a situation that has significantly improved thanks to the “constant, specialized, and committed” work of the ROCA Team. This effort has led to an increase in crime clearance rates and greater confidence in the rural environment.
Commander José Corpas Ruiz-Barruecos, representing the unit, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, noting that it “touches the heart,” especially for those members with roots in the city. He also highlighted the team's deep connection to the countryside, mentioning that many of its members are children of farmers.

Corpas extended his thanks to the agricultural sector, whose collaboration has been fundamental to the results achieved. He also emphasized coordination with other security forces such as the National Police, Local Police, and the Guard Service, describing them as “a perfectly synchronized mechanism.” The event concluded with the presentation of the Gold Medal and distinctions to the team members, recognizing not only their effectiveness but also their closeness and commitment to the territory.
