The 'Un Mar de Canciones' festival, one of the most established singer-songwriter events in Andalusia, is celebrating its silver jubilee in Torreperogil. This year's editions will take place on July 9th and 10th, offering a diverse program that includes Spanish rock legends, contemporary lyricism, Latin American music, and artists from the province of Jaén.
The main evening, Friday, July 10th, will be held at the Auditorio Torres Oscuras. It will feature Alejo Stivel, known as the voice of the iconic band Tequila, and Migue de Antílopez, a prominent figure in current singer-songwriter music. The lineup is completed by Víctor Guirado, a significant composer in the Spanish scene, and Mexican artist Demián Pinto, whose presence is made possible through collaboration with the 'Sabina por Aquí' event in Úbeda.
The opening day, Thursday, July 9th, will take place at the Peña Flamenca and will have a charitable focus, with tickets priced at just two euros, with proceeds going to social causes. The musical performances will be by local artists: María Guadaña, recognized for her blend of folklore, rock, and theatricality on the national independent scene, and Inefable, a provincial group that won the 'Rock FM Puro Rock' competition.
Born twenty-five years ago as a dream project for singer-songwriters, 'Un Mar de Canciones' has forged a strong connection with Torreperogil and its region over its editions. It has become a cultural benchmark in the province of Jaén and a showcase for intimate and committed Ibero-American song.
