The initiative, organized by the Santa María de los Reales Alcázares Neighborhood Association with the collaboration of the Úbeda City Council, promises an evening of music, community, and emotion, featuring a special performance by local artist Antonio Ródenas.
This encounter also serves as the starting point for the commemorative program of the neighborhood association's 50th anniversary. During the event, special recognition will be given to individuals who have contributed to the entity's trajectory over five decades.
The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Francisco de la Blanca, highlighted the deep roots of this activity in the city and reaffirmed the council's commitment to initiatives that foster citizen participation and active aging. The president of the neighborhood association, Francisco López, expressed gratitude for the municipal support and the backing of collaborating local businesses.
The workshop director, Alberto Navarrete, recalled that the project began 18 years ago at the Active Participation Center of Úbeda with a small group. Today, it has grown to include over 120 people distributed across five working groups.
For this edition, a repertoire of popular songs and themes linked to the participants' emotional memory has been prepared, aiming to use music as a vehicle for encounter and social cohesion.
