The festival, directed by Paco Ortega, promises a blend of traditional flamenco and innovative proposals. Among the names enriching the program are Dorantes, Las Migas, María Terremoto, and Lucía ‘La Piñona’, solidifying the event as a cultural benchmark in the province of Jaén.
The presentation of the event was attended by José Ayala, territorial delegate for Culture and Sport, who highlighted the festival's ability to merge pure flamenco with other world music genres. This initiative underscores Úbeda's commitment to culture and heritage.
The chosen venues for the performances are some of the most emblematic sites of this World Heritage City, including the Hospital de Santiago, the Church of San Lorenzo, and the San Juan de la Cruz Museum. This selection reinforces the connection between the cultural offerings and the rich historical legacy of the town.
The lineup is completed with performances by Rancapino and Morenito de Íllora, as well as the show by Andrés Barrios alongside Carmen Young and El Yiyo. Additionally, the program includes the conference “San Juan de la Cruz in Flamenco,” given by Nuria Barrios, and a recital by Belén Vega and Torro.
