A new feature film titled ‘Lo que hace que Baeza siga sonando’ (What Makes Baeza Keep Sounding) pays tribute to the merchants and entrepreneurs of the city of Baeza. The initiative, resulting from an agreement between the Provincial Council of Jaén and the Baeza Association of Industry, Services, and Commerce (ABISC), aims to value local economic and cultural activity.

The Provincial Council of Jaén has formalized a collaboration agreement with the Baeza Association of Industry, Services, and Commerce (ABISC) to promote commerce and industry in Baeza. The provincial administration will allocate 18,000 euros to this initiative, which includes various activities, among them, the film ‘Lo que hace que Baeza siga sonando’, directed by Pope Cabrera.
This agreement, renewed annually, will allow ABISC to carry out promotional campaigns and cultural activities. The objective is to highlight and value the contribution of commerce and industry to the identity of this World Heritage city. The Deputy of Employment and Business, Luis Miguel Carmona, emphasized the importance of these actions in revitalizing the local economy.
The feature film ‘Lo que hace que Baeza siga sonando’ focuses on the individuals who drive the economic, social, and cultural activity of the city. According to Carmona, the film highlights the ideas and daily efforts of those who open their businesses every day.
For his part, the president of ABISC, Juan Pedro Checa, explained that the film's title aims for Baeza to continue being a sonic reference, symbolizing the activity of its shops and its open shopping center. The film, which combines new, old, and modern elements, seeks to allow people to visualize the value of local commerce and the work of the entrepreneurs who contribute to the sector's growth in the city.
