The Jaén Provincial Council has initiated a significant project at the Torreperogil water reservoir, located in the La Loma region. The ongoing project seeks to resolve leakage and seepage issues affecting the infrastructure's walls, in addition to implementing substantial improvements in the local water supply control system.
The primary intervention focuses on the complete waterproofing of the reservoir. This measure is crucial for ensuring the efficiency of the supply and optimal water utilization, especially since the municipality is supplied by the La Loma system. Eliminating leaks will ensure that the water resource reaches residents without losses.
“"To optimize Torreperogil's water resources, which will allow us to better manage such a necessary resource as water in this locality."
In addition to waterproofing, the project includes adapting existing remote technology and installing new automatic exploration equipment. This system will enable continuous water analysis, along with automatic chlorine control and an automated dosing system. These technological enhancements aim to provide the municipality with more precise and efficient management of its water resources.
The total investment for this work amounts to just over 123,000 euros. It is expected that, once completed, the action will substantially improve the control and quality of the water supply in Torreperogil, directly benefiting its inhabitants.
