After months of negotiation, the Begíjar Town Hall has finalized the development of its first historic Job Classification (RPT). The agreement, unanimously reached among representatives from unions UGT and CCOO, civil servants and workers, the Secretariat-Treasury, and political spokespersons, under the presidency of mayor José Diego Soriano Garrido, lays the foundation for a more ordered and transparent staff structure.
The RPT will, for the first time, define existing job positions, their functions, and requirements, promoting more rational and planned human resource management. This instrument also aims to enhance the safety, stability, and working conditions of municipal employees by establishing objective criteria for staff organization.
The approval of the RPT will facilitate the creation and hiring of new public employment positions, particularly in areas with greater needs to strengthen essential services such as street cleaning, gardening, facility maintenance, and sports activities. Profiles include cleaning officers, laborers, gardeners, drivers, plumbers, construction officers, and sports instructors, along with the creation of job pools.
Furthermore, the council is committed to recovering outsourced municipal services, such as cleaning and sports monitoring, to consolidate stable employment and increase response capacity with in-house resources, ending the policy of outsourcing.
The Local Government emphasizes that this agreement is the result of the work and constructive attitude of all parties involved, representing a step forward in the modernization of the Town Hall and the improvement of public services for citizens.
