Following an investigation lasting over three months, the Civil Guard has solved the forceful robbery that occurred in February at the Alcalá de los Gazules Town Hall. Officers arrested a 36-year-old local resident on June 4th, who allegedly accessed the municipal building, forced open several offices, including the mayor's, and stole seven corporate mobile phones and two ceremonial batons.
The complaint filed by the Town Hall details that unknown perpetrators broke the rear window bars of the building and removed the aluminum windows to gain access. Once inside, they forced the locks of up to five municipal departments.
Civil Guards from the judicial police team in Barbate conducted an exhaustive ocular inspection of the building. The subsequent investigation led to the full identification of the alleged perpetrator, who has numerous prior convictions for property crimes.
