The Aerial Security Unit (UAS) of the Local Police in Rincón de la Victoria will deploy unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor public roads. This initiative aims to prevent accidents, detect risky behaviors, and enhance the safety of pedestrians, drivers, and vulnerable road users, coordinating ground patrols with aerial resources.
The drone, part of the specialized unit of the Local Police, is designed for various public interest functions, including security, emergency management, traffic control, and verifying compliance with regulations, such as traffic light signals.
Additionally, the Local Police will launch a specific surveillance and control campaign for motorcycles and mopeds on May 4. The objective is to ensure these vehicles operate under optimal safety conditions, preventing dangerous behaviors and promoting safer and more responsible mobility for all road users.
During these checks, the general condition of the vehicles, mandatory documentation, the Vehicle Technical Inspection (ITV), valid insurance, and the corresponding driving license will be verified. Special attention will be given to unauthorized modifications, such as unapproved exhausts and excessive noise emissions. Penalties for these infractions can reach up to 200 euros for technical modifications and up to 1,000 euros for driving without valid insurance.
