The province of Málaga is under a yellow heat alert this Saturday, with maximum temperatures forecast to reach 36 degrees in areas such as the Costa del Sol, Guadalhorce, and Axarquía.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a yellow alert in the province of Málaga due to high temperatures that have persisted for several days, occasionally exceeding 40 degrees. The areas of Sol, Guadalhorce, and Axarquía will experience highs of up to 36 degrees.
Vélez-Málaga recorded the highest temperature in the province so far, reaching 35.6 degrees around 1:00 PM. It is followed by Estepona with 34.8 degrees. These figures place these municipalities among those highlighted in Andalusia for their maximums, only behind Almería and Granada, which registered 35.8 degrees.
In the capital city of Málaga, the maximum temperature reached 32.3 degrees. Other towns like Álora (Guadalhorce) reached 29 degrees, and Coín reached 30.8. On the coast, Rincón de la Victoria reached 33.7 degrees, Torremolinos 32, Manilva 31.4, and Nerja 31 degrees.
In contrast, other parts of the province are experiencing a temperature decrease. Marbella recorded a high of 23.1 degrees at the start of the day, and Ronda marked 24.2 degrees.
The forecast for the rest of the weekend indicates a downward trend in temperatures, although they will remain high. Málaga capital expects highs of 36 and 35 degrees for Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Coín will hover around 36 degrees maximum on Saturday and 38 on Sunday, with minimums of 21 degrees on both days. Pizarra forecasts similar values, with highs of 36 and 39 degrees, and a minimum of 21. Cártama expects 35 and 37 degrees maximum for Saturday and Sunday.
In coastal municipalities like Marbella, highs of 34 and 31 degrees are expected. Torremolinos will have highs of 35 degrees on both days, with minimums of 25 and 24. Fuengirola forecasts highs of 31 degrees, Mijas of 32 and 33, and Manilva of 36 and 35 degrees for the weekend.
Vélez Málaga expects between 36 and 33 degrees maximum, and 22 minimum. Rincón de la Victoria will have highs of 33 and 32 degrees, and Nerja of 31 and 28. Inland, Ronda will register 28 degrees on Saturday and up to 32 on Sunday.
This forecast comes after several days of intense heat, including Friday, when the province was under orange and yellow alerts with temperatures above 40 degrees and a suffocating 'terral' wind. Points like Estepona (41.9 degrees), Coín (41.8), and Pizarra (42) were among the highest temperatures in the country.
