The tragic incident occurred at 8:10 AM at kilometer 267 of the aforementioned road, heading towards Málaga. The 112 emergency service received a call from a private citizen reporting a woman injured and bleeding on the roadway.
Following the alert, Local Police, Guardia Civil Traffic, and health services were quickly dispatched. The woman received attention at the scene and was subsequently transported to the Axarquía Regional Hospital in Vélez-Málaga.
Despite medical efforts, the 80-year-old victim passed away several hours later at the hospital, as confirmed by health sources this Sunday.
