The political formation Por Andalucía has inaugurated its electoral campaign in Jaén's Plaza de Santa María, with an event highlighting its intention to drive significant change in the region. The candidate expressed confidence in the possibility of transformation and emphasized the party's commitment to placing Jaén at the epicenter of regional political action.
The main objective of the candidacy is to improve the quality of life for Jaén's citizens through close-to-home politics that are responsive to the real demands of the population. It was stressed that the list is composed of
“"ordinary people"
, as opposed to
“"professional politicians with more than ten years in office"
, underscoring that its members directly experience the consequences of cutbacks.
The candidate advocated for a political approach based on proximity and active listening, stating that
“"politics must be done in the streets, with the people, looking them in the eyes, listening to their concerns and making them our own"
. With this perspective, Por Andalucía aims to win the upcoming elections, driven by widespread dissatisfaction with the province's current situation.
It was lamented that Jaén is in an unfavorable position across various indicators, including healthcare waiting lists, the condition of road infrastructure, low youth wages, and deficiencies in public transport, both rail and road.
Finally, the importance of the election on May 17 was highlighted, considering it an opportunity for citizens to choose between
“"strong and quality public services"
or a model that promotes individualism.
