The political group has emphasized the "commitment" of the Junta de Andalucía to the capital of Jaén, underscoring the inauguration of important infrastructures during the current term. These include the La Alameda health center, the Andrés de Vandelvira higher conservatory of music, and the headquarters of the Andalusian Employment Service.
According to the spokesperson for the Popular Group, the most modern health center in the autonomous community was inaugurated on April 8, 2025, followed by the higher conservatory of music on December 5 of the same year. The new office of the Andalusian Employment Service opened its doors in June. The city's mayor attended these three events representing the municipality.
Additionally, on March 20, the rehabilitation of the Santa Catalina de Alejandría secondary education institute was inaugurated, a project that involved an investment of 4.5 million euros by the Junta de Andalucía. These achievements also include the construction of a section of the bike lane on the Córdoba road.
“"In contrast to this balance of regional investments, the Popular Group has expressed concern about the scarce presence of Central Government projects in the capital during the same period."
Given this situation, the Popular Group has urged the mayor to demand priority investments for the city from the Spanish Government. Among the historical demands still awaiting a response are the AVE connection with Madrid and the construction of the new National Police station.
The political group has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of Jaén and has expressed its willingness to collaborate with all institutions to ensure that the city receives the necessary resources, regardless of political affiliation.
