The 2026 edition of the .oleoSÓNICA Jaén Music Fest has marked a historic milestone, becoming its most successful since its inception. It gathered a total of 19,000 spectators and achieved a sell-out on Saturday. The Ifeja venue buzzed with performances from artists such as Fontán, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, Antonio Arco, and Sexy Zebras, who delivered a high-energy show.
The most emotional moment arrived with Love of Lesbian's performance, as they presented their version of 'Viento de Cara,' an iconic song by Supersubmarina, live for the first time. The Jaén-based band, represented by Chino and Pope in the audience, received a heartfelt tribute from thousands of attendees. Alcalá Norte and Crystal Fighters closed the night with powerful sets, followed by DJ Felipe's session until the early morning hours.
Beyond the musical lineup, the festival's economic impact has been significant. With an investment of two and a half million euros, the event generated 300 direct and indirect jobs and led to nearly 100% hotel occupancy in Jaén. The festival has seen consistent growth since its beginning, attracting almost 40,000 people across its three editions.
“"We have become the most important event in the province."
The festival director, whose identity is not specified in the source, thanked the support of institutions and sponsors, highlighting the Patronato de Cultura, Turismo y Fiestas del Ayuntamiento de Jaén and Caja Rural de Jaén. Organizers OleoSÓNICA Music and Inala Producciones are already working on the 2027 edition, promising an even larger and more spectacular event.
