The Teatro Infanta Leonor in Jaén will host the performance of the opera Aida by Giuseppe Verdi next Sunday, May 31st. The piece will be performed by the Hesperian Symphony Orchestra, under the artistic direction of Antonio Ariza.
This performance is part of the fourth edition of the ‘Jaén suena a ópera’ (Jaén sounds like opera) festival and has the collaboration of the Municipal Culture Board of the Jaén City Council. The production is characterized by its large scale, including a live orchestra, choir, and top-tier soloists.
The opera, a production by Producciones Telón and the Hesperian Symphony Orchestra, narrates the drama between the Ethiopian princess Aida, the Egyptian warrior Radamés, and Princess Amneris, set in ancient Egypt. It combines impressive choral scenes with celebrated musical moments.
“"It is an evening that will not disappoint the attending audience at all."
With initiatives like this, the Municipal Culture Board aims to bring the lyrical genre to Jaén, extending its reach beyond the traditional circuits of major cities. Tickets are available on the website [www.hsorchestra.com](https://www.hsorchestra.com/).
