Jaén Paraíso Interior FS and Brazilian player João Salla have reached an agreement to extend his contract for two more seasons. The pivot, whose contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign, will continue to be part of the yellow team until June 2028.
Salla has established himself as an important player within the club, both for his performance on the court and his influence in the locker room. During the 2025/2026 season, he stood out for his consistency and defensive solidity, also contributing offensively with 14 goals and 6 assists. He has demonstrated great reliability in penalty spot shots, taking responsibility in crucial moments.
The club highlights his ability to handle pressure in critical situations, being key in close matches and decisive phases. His participation was significant in the team's historic season, which achieved the national double by winning the Copa de España and the Copa del Rey.
Beyond statistics, the organization values his commitment, professionalism, and leadership. With this renewal, Jaén Paraíso Interior FS reinforces the continuity of its sporting project, ensuring the presence of a player identified with the club's values.
Regarding the squad, the vast majority of players will remain, with the exception of Mareco and Rikelme, who will seek new challenges. The return of two players from Cordoba is expected: pivot Boyis and winger César Velasco. The situation in goal remains uncertain, with reports suggesting Dudú might also leave.
