Jaén's White Night, the most anticipated cultural event of spring, will return on May 15, 2026, with a record-breaking program of 85 free activities that will transform the historic quarter into a large open stage.

The event, running from 8:00 PM until one in the morning, will offer a wide variety of proposals, including artistic interventions, concerts, guided tours, heritage routes, workshops, exhibitions, and performing arts. All activities will be free of charge and distributed across the main spaces and monuments of the city's old town.
The official inauguration will take place at 7:30 PM in the loggia of the Teatro Infanta Leonor, from where the UJA Batucada will lead a festive procession through the historic quarter. The cultural itinerary will cover emblematic areas such as La Magdalena, San Juan, the Provincial Historical Archive, the Hospital San Juan de Dios, the Baños Árabes Cultural Center, the Palacio de Villardompardo, the Jewish Quarter, San Bartolomé, the Provincial Palace, San Ildefonso, and the Plaza de Santa María.
Among the venues that will exceptionally open their doors for this celebration are the Jaén Cathedral, various churches such as San Ildefonso, San Bartolomé, San Juan, Santa María Magdalena, and La Merced, as well as the monasteries of Santa Teresa and Santa Clara. Visitors can also explore the air-raid shelter of the Albergue Inturjoven, the bullring, and the air-raid shelter in Plaza de Santiago. Tours of the religious sites will be guided by professors and students of Art History from the University of Jaén and will require prior registration.
Heritage routes will be one of the main attractions, highlighting a tour of Jaén's Jewish Quarter under the title Onde los sefaradim moravan, accompanied by live violin music. There will also be routes through the El Almendral neighborhood and its murals, and through the La Magdalena neighborhood. As a novelty, the University of Jaén has organized two additional routes: one through historic patios and another following the course of the La Magdalena stream.
The musical offering will be particularly diverse, featuring the Jaén Municipal Music Band, singer-songwriter concerts, flamenco with Joselete de Linares and Julio Romero, a gospel show by Jaén Jazzy, and the University of Jaén Orchestra performing Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, among many other performances covering various genres.
The visual identity of this edition pays homage to the pioneer of abstract art, Kandinsky, through a reinterpretation created by Julia María Martínez in collaboration with the José Nogué School of Art and Design. Additionally, the second edition of the White Night 2026 Photographic Rally Contest will be held, organized with the Santo Reino Photographic Group and the Official College of Architects of Jaén, offering several prizes sponsored by Grupo Avanza.
