The Jaén University Hospital has held a farewell ceremony for the 51 professionals who have completed their training period as resident internal specialists (EIR). These doctors and nurses are now entering the job market after finishing their residency years at the healthcare center, which is part of the Andalusian Health Service.
The hospital's managing director, María Belén Martínez, along with members of the management team and the Head of Studies, Miguel Ortigosa, presided over the event. Martínez congratulated the residents on their "professionalism and dedication," wishing them success in the "new stage that now begins in their professional lives."
During their stay, the residents rotated through various departments, undergoing continuous, annual, and final evaluations. The hospital's Teaching Unit has overseen the fulfillment of their training programs.
Among the graduates are nine Nursing specialists (Obstetric-Gynecological, Pediatric, Mental Health, and Occupational Health). Additionally, 28 fourth-year (R4) and 14 fifth-year (R5) specialist physicians are concluding their training in about twenty medical specialties, including Cardiology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Oncology.
