The Fuentes de Andalucía Town Hall has initiated the Educational Support Program (PAE) for the 2026-2027 school year. The initiative is now operational at IES Alarifes Ruiz Florindo and the CEIP Santa Teresa and Santo Tomás, aiming to reinforce the education and support for students and their families to improve academic performance and foster the participation of the educational community.
The program was presented at each center with the presence of the mayor, Francisco J. Martínez, the delegate for Education, school management teams, and municipal technical staff. The presentations were attended by a notable number of families specially invited for the occasion.
This academic year, the program has a team of nine professionals and is expected to serve around 120 students in the municipality.
The mayor, Francisco J. Martínez, explained that the project goes beyond curricular reinforcement, also including attention to students' social and emotional skills. "We are not only building or contributing so that our students have successful learning in the curriculum, but also so they have successful learning as human beings, which is one of the most beautiful and noble tasks we have as an administration," he stated.
Martínez emphasized the collaboration between the Town Hall and the three educational centers, highlighting that without the involvement of the educational community, especially the teaching staff, the program would not be possible. "There is a perfect synergy between the Town Hall and the three educational centers," he affirmed.
The mayor recalled that the PAE offers support not only to students but also to their families, contributing to work-life balance. He posed a reflective question to the families about what would happen if the PAE did not exist in the municipality and defended its continuity from Infant and Primary education up to Secondary school.
Through this initiative, the Fuentes de Andalucía Town Hall reaffirms its commitment to quality public education, investing in resources that contribute to the academic and personal development of the young people.
