This contest, part of the Virgen de la Capilla festivities, was presented at the Puerta del Ángel de La Alameda. This year's edition holds special significance as it is the first to be held after the passing of Manuel Díaz Meco, a veterinarian and fundamental pillar in the trajectory of the Jaén School.
The practical class will feature bulls from the Roque Jiménez ranch and a young bull from Los Horcajuelos, a breeding venture promoted by a former student of the school. The bullfighters participating include Emilio Espigares, winner of the previous edition, Jesús Pérez 'El Accitano', Manuel Valencia, and Rafael Espigares, all students of the Jaén School, alongside Martín Mendoza from the Camas School.
To conclude the event, young student Leonel Saenz de Tejada will perform the cape and muleta work with a heifer, also providing an opportunity for other less experienced students from the school to fight in public.
“"The School will once again collaborate with the Hermandad de la Amargura, collecting non-perishable food or hygiene products at the bullring entrance, which will later be donated to Cáritas through the social work 'Por los despojados del mundo'."
Invitations to attend this charitable practical class can be collected at the concierge desk of the Jaén bullring, at the offices of Caja Rural de Jaén, at the Sutil Gourmet store on Avenida de los Escuderos, at Talleres Los Ángeles on the Córdoba road, and at the Leonel butcher shop in Úbeda.
