This innovative project extends beyond purely technical application, as each team operates like a small technological and sports company. Participants take on diverse roles, from creating brand identity and communication plans to seeking sponsorships, developing timelines, and writing technical reports.
The final evaluation measures multiple dimensions of learning and team performance, including prototype technical quality, track speed, creativity, organization, and communication skills. Each team is supported by two STEM specialist teachers who, after specific training, lead the team, which consists of a maximum of six students in the regional phase.
The program is part of an educational strategy aimed at modernizing the teaching system, awakening scientific and technological vocations, and connecting the academic curriculum with the real challenges of society.
STEM Racing supported by Formula 1® is an international educational program aimed at ESO, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training students, structured into three specialization levels: Entry, Development, and Professional. Its objective is to practically integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines while fostering transversal competencies such as leadership, creativity, entrepreneurship, and communication.
The program's international dimension connects participating centers with a global community of educational innovation linked to elite engineering and motorsport. For students from IES Almicerán and IES San Juan Bautista, the Circuito de Jerez will be the stage where they demonstrate that science and technology can also be learned at full speed.
