The RFEF has requested that Hotel HO Ciudad de Jaén establish a second beach soccer field on its premises. This initiative aims to facilitate the organization of future high-level events in Jaén, which has successfully hosted various national competitions in recent years.
The organizational success of recent competitions, including the Copa Federación and the Spanish Super Cup in both men's and women's categories, has been a key factor in this proposal. The men's Super Cup final, contested between CD Fútbol Playa Marbella and CD Fútbol Playa Huelva, marks the end of the club season for beach soccer.
Diego Martínez, president of the RFEF's National Beach Soccer Committee, has positively assessed the championships, highlighting the excitement of the finals and the spectacle provided to the public of Jaén. He confirmed the commitment to expand the facilities to two fields by next year, which would help mitigate concerns about high temperatures in the region.
Manuel Arjonilla, general manager of Hotel HO Ciudad de Jaén, corroborated that the possibility of a second field, even a portable one, is under consideration. This expansion would allow for the hosting of First Division, Second Division, regional competitions, and national team training camps.
Beach soccer arrived in Jaén through HO Ciudad de Jaén in 2024, establishing an agreement with the RFEF to host elite events. The hotel manager emphasized the pride in seeing private initiative facilities become a national benchmark, benefiting both the city and the province.
Diego Martínez also highlighted the growth of beach soccer in Jaén, mentioning the successful retention of local teams San Ignacio de Úbeda and Pozo Alcón in the Second Division. The potential expansion of the field aims to solidify Jaén as a national venue and boost the presence of local teams in future finals.
