Organized by the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), an entity under the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, the conference was held to mark Internet Day 2026. The event, broadcast live, was attended by students from various educational centers in the province and included the participation of a representative from the Ministry for Digital Transformation.
During the event, the ministerial representative conversed with young people about the risks they face in their use of the internet and technology, emphasizing the importance of digital responsibility. The INCIBE 017 service was highlighted as a tool for assistance in situations of cyberbullying or other digital risks.

The inauguration was presided over by the Mayor of Jaén, accompanied by the Deputy for Employment and Business of the Jaén Provincial Council, the Head of International Projects Area at INTEF, the Cabinet Director of the Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence (AESIA), and the Director General of INCIBE.
The central activity of the day was the online workshop «Of course!, what would you do?», developed with INTEF and taught by a teacher. More than 4,500 students connected from educational centers across Spain participated, working on decision-making regarding the dissemination of intimate images generated with AI, sextortion, and the importance of reporting inappropriate content.
The conference also included a dialogue space with young people from the Children's Platform on the functioning and risks of AI, and an informative activity by the 017 Cybersecurity Helpline, focusing on real cases of cyberbullying, grooming, sextortion, and image and video manipulation.
Finally, INCIBE took the opportunity to present the awards for the fourth edition of the «What is 017 to you?» competition, which received 147 videos from schools across Spain. The winners were recognized in various age categories for their creativity and message.
