The activity, named Shanghai, is organized by Xperiences Stage and will take place at La Bola de Cristal, a cultural space located in the old Fábrica del Arte. This immersive experience is designed for those who enjoy mystery and wish to actively participate in a detective plot.
The event includes a tasting menu that combines local products such as first-harvest oils, cheeses, and cured pork loin, along with more elaborate dishes like trout tartare and pulled beef, finishing with cheesecake. The price per participant is 37 euros, and reservations are available until sold out.
“"The perfect team is your trusted group, your friends, the people you hang out with. These types of experiences have a point of complicity… you need that spark."
According to the head of the immersive leisure and entertainment company from Jaén, the game encourages interaction and fun among participants, inviting them to lie, deceive, and create their own stories. Despite its setting in a dark Shanghai, the evening's tone is surprisingly comical and light-hearted, with sketches and audience interaction between courses.
The idea for Shanghai stems from the previous success of Premiere Mortal, another mystery dinner that the company introduced in Jaén, adapting a format that, at the time, was not common in Spain. The key to its success lies in a structure that guarantees constant humor and tension, keeping players immersed in the plot for several hours.
The organizers advise participants to enjoy, laugh, and dive into the game from the very beginning, adopting a proactive attitude. The experience is designed for people to forget about rushing and fully enjoy the interaction, even if it means dinner lasts longer than usual.
