“"In this new edition, a total of 150 artistic applications were received, from which 37 proposals were finally selected by the participating city councils, most of them linked to the province of Jaén, resulting in significant territorial permeability, among the highest achieved throughout the ten years of this cultural initiative's existence."

The tenth edition of the Jaén Escena cultural circuit, promoted by the Provincial Council, kicks off this Saturday in Santiago de Calatrava with a record number of over a hundred shows scheduled in 74 municipalities across the province until the end of the year.
The program, which will run until December 2026, will feature 37 artists and companies, most of them from the province of Jaén. This initiative aims to strengthen the cultural offerings in the region, providing access to diverse and high-quality performing arts in various locations.
This year's program stands out for its diversity, including proposals for music, theater, dance, flamenco, circus, magic, and opera. Additionally, it incorporates more contemporary formats such as videomapping and training activities related to photography and cinema, thus enriching the cultural offerings for all audiences.
The circuit will begin next Saturday, May 9, in Santiago de Calatrava with a performance by the group Transistores. Among the participating artists and groups from Jaén are Loklaro Entertainment, the Orfeón Santo Reino, Sergio Fábregas, Amada Santos, Teatro La Paca, and Pedro Lendínez, among many others.
