After a brief respite with highs barely exceeding 30 degrees, the province of Jaén faces a new thermal surge. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has announced a progressive rise in mercury, culminating this Sunday, when thermometers are expected to reach up to 43 degrees.
The trend is upward day by day. For Tuesday, July 14, clear skies are expected with highs of 36 degrees and lows of 20. On Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, maximum temperatures will climb to 38 degrees, with lows of 21 and 25 degrees respectively. During these days, the probability of precipitation remains low, between 5% and 10%.
On Wednesday, daytime cloud development may occur in the Jaén mountain areas, with the possibility of occasional storms. On Thursday, dust in suspension from the Sahara is also anticipated, potentially leaving a milky sky across the province.
The weekend will mark the peak of this rise. On Friday, highs will reach 39 degrees, surpassing the 40-degree threshold, climbing to 42 degrees on Saturday and 43 degrees on Sunday. Minimum temperatures will also continue their upward trend, settling at 24 degrees on Friday and 25 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.
