The incident occurred around 7:20 PM, when a citizen contacted the 112 Emergency Telephone after observing a dense column of smoke emanating from the roof of a house, visible from various points across the city.
Immediately, the 112 Emergency Service coordinated the response, dispatching the Jaén Fire Department. They arrived at the scene with a team of nine personnel, supported by a heavy pump and a light pump for firefighting operations.
In addition to the firefighters, agents from the Local Police were deployed to the site, taking charge of perimeter control and support in the area. 112 Health Emergency units also attended, remaining on standby as a precautionary measure, although fortunately, their direct intervention was not required.
Despite the significant smoke, no personal injuries have been reported. At the time of the alert, the witness could not confirm if there were occupants inside the dwelling, prompting emergency services to act with utmost caution. The causes of the fire are currently unknown and will be subject to a subsequent investigation by the competent authorities.
