Recent precipitation has left notable records in various areas of Jaén, especially in the mountain regions. Meteorological instability was particularly intense in the Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas region, where Aemet issued a yellow alert for rain and storms.
On April 29, Torredelcampo recorded 54 liters per square meter, one of the highest values of the day. Other prominent points included Pozo Romero, Siles, with 41 liters, and Segura de la Sierra, with 27 liters in Rihornos. The capital, Jaén, also reached 20 liters per square meter at the Bulevar station.
The previous day, April 28, was even rainier, with Quesada recording 63 liters per square meter at the Ramblallana farmhouse. Torredelcampo accumulated 58 liters and Torredonjimeno, in the Mirabueno area, 50 liters. In the capital, Puente de la Sierra reached 48 liters, causing localized flooding, and the Jabalcuz urbanization, 40 liters.
For Friday, Aemet maintains yellow alerts for rain and storms in the Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas region, as well as in the province of Granada, where accumulated precipitation of 15 liters per square meter is expected. Occasional showers are forecast, which could be locally strong in the mountain ranges in the afternoon.
