The event's presentation included the Councilor for Culture and Tourism, María Espejo, the president of Jaén Acoge, Miriam Segura, the director and author of the work, Manuel Jesús Puentes, the director and staging coordinator, María José García Castillo, and the coordinator and presenter of the Gala, Fran Curé.
María Espejo highlighted that the gala, inspired by Manuel Jesús Puentes' book ‘The Soul’s Rebirth’, aims for significant social and personal growth impact. After premiering in four other provincial locations, it arrives in the capital for the first time. The councilor emphasized the commitment of the Municipal Culture Board to such socially and philanthropically significant cultural activities.
Miriam Segura, president of Jaén Acoge, expressed gratitude to the City Council and the Culture Board for the theater's use and to the organizers for their efforts. She noted the gala's title resonates with the organization's work, supporting collectives needing to 'resurge'. The gala is part of Jaén Acoge's 34th anniversary.
Manuel Jesús Puentes, author of the book and the show, shared his enthusiasm for bringing the performance to Jaén for the first time, describing it as a blend of culture, art, dance, humor, and emotion designed to inspire and help. He confirmed that all ticket revenue will go to Jaén Acoge, calling the event a 'song to life'.
Gala presenter Fran Curé praised the human spirit of Jaén's residents, emphasizing the importance of a full theater to support Jaén Acoge's mission. His goal is for the audience to enjoy the event and feel it was worthwhile, promoting a more equitable society. María José García, staging director, stressed that 'together we can move mountains' and predicted attendees would leave with 'a boost of energy'.
The gala is sponsored and supported by various companies from different economic, social, and cultural sectors of Jaén. Tickets are available at the Jaén Acoge office, located at Calle Magdalena del Prado, 2, in the city.
