This show, part of the second edition of the Sutilezas cycle, pays tribute to the Granadan poet on the 90th anniversary of his death. The scenic proposal combines the talent of professional productions with the final showcases of students from the performing arts training center El sutil arte de las artes escénicas, directed by a renowned professional in the field, and supported by the Municipal Board of Culture of Jaén.
La Prodigiosa explores, through the language of flamenco, the struggle of its characters to find their own identity and voice against social and family expectations. The play establishes a dynamic dialogue between the flamenco rhythm and the electronic beat, between the essence of 'duende' and modern technology, creating a theatrical experience that the creative team describes as intense, comical, and deeply poetic.
The proposal was already very well received at its premiere at the Autumn Festival, where it established itself as one of the most unique scenic proposals of the season in Jaén, with critics describing it as «avant-garde, beautiful and wonderful» and as «a top-level show».
The company Lolitario Teatro, recognized with the Grajo de Cultura 2025 and the Top 50 innovative companies 2024 seal from Andalucía Emprende, has managed to capture the attention of both the public and critics with this production.
