The municipal program 'ActivaT' has begun its urban improvement works in various neighborhoods of Jaén, focusing on painting walls, steps, railings, and other elements of the urban landscape. One of the areas being worked on is in the San Juan and Puerta de Martos neighborhood, specifically on approximately 300 linear meters of walls supporting the Circunvalación road.

The initiative has incorporated 31 unemployed young people, aged between 18 and 29, organized into three teams. These teams are deployed across different parts of the city to carry out maintenance and recovery tasks in public spaces previously identified by the municipal department. The Councilor for Urban Maintenance, Javier Padorno, highlighted that the plan provides an "important boost" for pending tasks.

Managed jointly by the Department of Employment and the IMEFE, under the responsibility of Luis García Millán, and adapted by Urban Maintenance, the program has a total investment of 337,900 euros. The participating young people are hired for a period of six months.

In addition to paid work experience, the 'ActivaT' plan offers training in trades with high demand in the labor market. This training, combined with practical experience, significantly improves the employment prospects of the young beneficiaries.
