Curro Burgos will not be playing for Real Jaén CF next season. The player has announced his decision not to accept either the contract renewal offer or the loan proposal to another club that the 'blanquimorado' entity had presented to him.
Burgos, whose contract was set to expire on June 30, 2027, has opted to seek new sporting horizons and will continue his career away from the Jaén-based club, securing his release.
Real Jaén CF has publicly thanked Curro Burgos for his contribution over his two years with the club, particularly in achieving two promotions, and has wished him success in his future endeavors.
Last season, the footballer played a total of 2,049 minutes across 36 matches, starting in 23 of them. During the season, he scored two goals at the Nuevo Estadio de La Victoria: one against Xerez DFC that resulted in a 2-2 draw, and another against Atlético Malagueño which sealed the 3-0 victory for the home team.
