The competition, which marks the start of the Jaén City Council's sports program for the Virgen de la Capilla Fair, featured judokas from the pre-junior category up to veterans. The event was organized by the Andalusian Federation of Judo and Associated Sports, sponsored by the Provincial Council of Jaén, and supported by the Municipal Sports Board and various provincial clubs.

The Councilor for Sports, Beatriz López, attended some of the events and participated in the trophy ceremony. This tournament serves as the second scoring event for the Provincial Circuit Cup Diputación. In addition to earning points for the overall classification, participants received their grade advancements, concluding the 2025/2026 season.
