The territorial delegate for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development visited the ongoing works being carried out by the company Tragsa on the ‘Camino Viejo’ rural road in Bailén. This intervention covers almost the entire 5,316-meter stretch of the road, which previously showed deficiencies in its surface and lacked proper drainage in several sections.
The improvements in Bailén include scarifying, watering, and compacting the roadbed, reinforcing the existing layer, and applying a new wearing course. Additionally, clearing and cleaning of the superficial clay layer are being performed, along with the construction of transverse speed bumps, earth ditches, and riprap to enhance drainage.
Furthermore, the delegate also supervised the works on the ‘La Cimbarra-Navas-Santisteban’ rural road in Aldeaquemada. Here, Tragsa is addressing issues with the road surface and deficiencies in water evacuation, applying a concrete wearing course, and repairing and constructing new drainage infrastructure.
