With the aim of bringing literature closer to citizens, participating establishments will set up their counters and bibliographic collections at the entrances of their premises in the city's main commercial arteries throughout the day on April 23. This initiative not only seeks to encourage reading habits but also to highlight the value of neighborhood bookstores as a vibrant space for cultural gathering and revitalization.
As an incentive for readers and in compliance with the Book Law (Law 10/2007), bookstores will apply an exceptional 10% discount on all their sales during that day. This is a unique annual opportunity for Huelva residents to acquire new releases, classics, or children's books with a greater reduction than usually allowed by the fixed price.
“"Bringing books to the street is a symbolic and festive gesture. We want books to surprise passersby on their daily commute and for citizens to remember that their trusted booksellers are there to advise them and guide their readings."
During the commercial day, publications will be shared on social media to follow this activity, organized by the association in collaboration with the Andalusian Federation of Bookstores for the third consecutive year. All residents and visitors are invited to participate in this celebration of letters, browse the stalls set up in the streets of Huelva, and support local commerce on a day dedicated to imagination and knowledge.
