The pictorial work is the creation of an artist from Huelva, who has captured a deeply spiritual vision of the saint. This creator is also a member of the Brotherhood of La Borriquita and presides over the Association of Artisans of Huelva (Apaso).
The poster reproduces a sculpture of Saint Augustine found within the enclosure of the Church of Santa María de Gracia of the Reverend Augustinian Mothers. This artistic choice is a nod from the author to the contemplation, prayer, and inner life of the religious community.
“"This artistic choice connects with the direction set by its board of officials, which seeks to reinforce the intimate character of the devotions, emphasizing the spiritual experience within the temple and the centrality of Jesus in the Eucharist."
With this presentation, the corporation continues to consolidate its commitment to a more contemplative religiosity focused on internal worship, in line with the Augustinian tradition and the environment in which these acts take place.
