The Port of Vigo has been the main protagonist of the XXIX edition of the Interport Tournament, a well-established sports and coexistence event for the state port system. The Galician delegation achieved a double, being crowned champion in both futsal and the men's paddle tennis category.
The event, organized by the Port Authority of Huelva, brought together participants from various port authorities across Spain for three days, from May 14th to 16th. The futsal and paddle tennis competitions, in their men's, women's, and mixed categories, were held at venues such as the Carolina Marín Sports Palace, the El Carmen Campus sports facilities, and the Panorámico Huelva Club.
In the other paddle tennis categories, the women's title went to Valencia, while A Coruña secured victory in the mixed category. Beyond the results, the tournament reaffirmed its values of camaraderie and strengthening of bonds among professionals in the port sector.
Huelva has once again demonstrated its capacity as a host for major events, leaving an impression of organization and hospitality. The next edition, the thirtieth, will be held in Ceuta.
