The project, which has been running in the province since 2018, is designed to work on essential skills for the positive development of students. The intervention is specifically aimed at students in the second cycle of preschool and the first cycle of primary education, also involving families and teaching staff in the training process.
During these days, various municipalities in Huelva are holding the closing sessions of the program. In these events, the characters that give the initiative its name visit the schools to reinforce the preventive work carried out over the previous months in a playful and stimulating way. Participating schools include CEIP San Sebastián in Rociana and CEIP Zenobia Camprubí in Moguer.
The program is executed by the Asociación Prevenir and funded by the provincial institution. Since its inception, more than 40 schools have integrated this methodology, establishing itself as a tool for preventive best practices that adapts to the dynamics of each school.
The Huelva Provincial Council maintains the prevention of addictions and risky behaviors as a priority within its health promotion policies. Through the Social Prevention Service, the entity continues to implement evidence-based strategies to improve the well-being of the population in the school environment.
