The candidate for the Popular Party in Huelva has championed the regional government's strategy, known as the "Andalusian way," as a fundamental driver for the province's development and well-being across various sectors.
During a campaign event in Valverde del Camino, the PP representative underscored the importance of this approach to continue progress in areas such as healthcare, elder care, youth services, dependency, industry, employment, and education.
The regional government's management has allocated 18.4 million euros to dependency care in Valverde del Camino during the last legislature, with 9.7 million directed to home care assistance. Additionally, the municipality has 179 concerted places in residences and occupational centers for the elderly and people with disabilities. Investments also include 220,000 euros for the improvement of the Nodromar elderly residence and 240,000 euros for the Active Participation Center.
In the health sector, the rehabilitation of the Riotinto Hospital has been highlighted with an investment of 4.2 million euros, along with the incorporation of a new Magnetic Resonance Unit and specialties such as Endocrinology and Nutrition and Allergology, thus avoiding trips to the capital. The Delta mobile emergency team and the Pain Unit have also been emphasized.
Regarding employment and industry, the processing of the Masa Valverde mining project has been expedited, which is expected to create 160 direct jobs and 600 indirect jobs. The Activa-T employment program has enabled the hiring of 18 unemployed young people in Valverde with a subsidy exceeding 200,000 euros. Furthermore, eight educational centers have been air-conditioned with over 140,000 euros, and artificial turf has been installed in the Nuevo Alkaly football field with an investment of 158,300 euros.
