Bright sunshine and warm weather led thousands of people to the beaches of Huelva, Cádiz, Málaga, Granada, and Almería. Temperatures reached nearly 30 degrees Celsius on both Saturday and Sunday, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy beach days, a scene more typical of the summer season.
The lack of wind in these five provinces contributed to Andalusians making the most of this exceptional weather. This situation is reminiscent of last year, when a similar weekend, coinciding with the Copa del Rey celebration in Seville, also saw highs of up to 35 degrees in inland cities. In 2026, the trend has continued, with beaches, beach bars, and promenades bustling with people.
In addition to high daytime temperatures, nights have also been remarkably warm across much of the region. Although thermal contrasts of up to twenty degrees between daily highs and nighttime lows have been observed, in coastal municipalities, especially along the Mediterranean coast, minimum temperatures have remained around 17 degrees Celsius, exceeding typical values for the season.
